GTA 6 Collector’s Edition: What’s in the $399.99 Goodtime State Box
SubscribeForTacos reads Rockstar’s own Newswire announcement and Rockstar Store page for The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection on screen, says he bought a box himself, and gives his own verdict on whether $399.99 of Vice City merchandise is worth it. This article checks every item, the price and the shipping terms against Rockstar’s own pages, and separates his opinion from what Rockstar states.
The GTA 6 collector’s edition is The Goodtime State – Vice City Collection, a $399.99 physical Collector’s Box sold by the Rockstar Store, with no game inside. Rockstar announced it on September 24, 2026: eleven pieces of Vice City merchandise in a black case, themed around the in-fiction TV show Macca the Gator, shipping from November 19, 2026 while supplies last. SubscribeForTacos reads Rockstar’s own Newswire post and Rockstar Store page on camera in his September 24 video and says he bought a box himself, though the video itself is a breakdown of Rockstar’s official material rather than an unboxing. This article checks every item, the price and the shipping terms against Rockstar’s own pages, and keeps his opinions on value separate from what Rockstar states.
What is the GTA 6 collector’s edition?
Rockstar calls it "a premium Grand Theft Auto VI collectible set featuring all the essentials for a good time, inspired by Leonida’s hit TV show, Macca the Gator." It is a limited-edition Collector’s Box, not a game edition: the Standard and Ultimate Editions of GTA 6 itself are separate products with their own prices, covered on the editions comparison page. This box arrives on November 19, 2026, the same day GTA 6 launches, and Rockstar says it is "available for pre-order while supplies last." SubscribeForTacos opens his video by pointing out that a similar-looking box leaked roughly a month earlier, plus a flat-lay of apparel he calls "clearly AI," neither of which matches what Rockstar actually shipped in its own renders.
What’s in the GTA 6 collector’s edition box?
Rockstar’s Newswire post and Rockstar Store page both list the same eleven items, word for word other than minor naming differences. The table below uses the Store page’s names and its added flavor text for each piece.
| Item | What Rockstar says about it |
|---|---|
| Macca the Gator Figure | A 6-inch figure with a twist-open base for "stashing your valuables," shown enjoying a smoke and a flamingo blood martini |
| Oakley® Frogskins™ Sunglasses | Matte black frames with Prizm Sapphire lenses and a Vice City pink GTAVI logo |
| New Era® 9FORTY Snapback Hat | An A-Frame snapback with Vice City Leonida embroidery and appliques |
| Leonida Keys Crossbody Bag | A ripstop bag with black and pink lining, woven patches and a debossed YKK zipper pull |
| Macca the Gator Magnetic Mirror | An electroplated pink glass mirror usable "as a tray or hang as artwork," with two rear-mounted magnets |
| Chunkee the Manatee Shot Glass | A shot glass with a laser-etched Rockstar Games logo on the bottom |
| Vice City Collectible Swizzle Spoon | A decorative spoon with a debossed enamel Vice City logo and a Rockstar Games logo tip |
| Vice City Razor Blade Keychain | A metallic razor-blade-style keychain with embossed GTAVI and Vice City logos |
| Leonida Keys Enamel Pin Set | Nine enamel pins in a custom metal tin |
| Leonida Keys Sticker Pack | Nine crack-and-peel vinyl stickers in a stash bag |
| Double-Sided Souvenir Poster | An illustrated Leonida poster with Macca the Gator characters on the front and a full map of Leonida on the back |
SubscribeForTacos says he has bought a box, but he has not opened one yet: in this video he walks through Rockstar’s own product renders. They show a box with three levels. By his reading, the figure, the pin tin and the shot glass sit on the top shelf, the bag and the cap on the middle level, and, he assumes, the poster and the smaller items on the pull-out bottom level.
How much does the GTA 6 collector’s edition cost?
$399.99 on the US Rockstar Store, and €399.99 on the EU Rockstar Store, both confirmed directly on Rockstar’s own product page. A GBP price is not confirmed on any official Rockstar page checked for this article, so it is left out here rather than guessed. That price is for the box alone: shipping is separate and, per Rockstar’s FAQ, "will be presented at checkout," varying with the shipping option chosen. SubscribeForTacos says his own checkout showed roughly $30 for ground shipping, or roughly $120 for next-day delivery timed to arrive on November 19, figures from his own order rather than numbers Rockstar publishes anywhere on the product page itself.
Does the GTA 6 collector’s edition include the game?
No. Rockstar states this directly: "Grand Theft Auto VI game sold separately." SubscribeForTacos makes the same point on camera, adding that Rockstar has bundled collector merchandise without the game before, so the omission "would be the case" going in. If the game itself, rather than a box of merchandise, is what you are after, the two ways to buy it are the Standard Edition at $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition at $99.99, compared below.
| Product | Price (US) | Includes the game | What you get |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard Edition | $79.99 | Yes | Grand Theft Auto VI and the Vintage Vice City Pack, plus one month of GTA+ and a 7-day pre-load on digital pre-orders |
| Ultimate Edition | $99.99 | Yes | Everything in Standard, plus the Ultimate Edition Upgrade (extra vehicles, weapons, outfits, shops and a gang compound to raid) |
| Goodtime State – Vice City Collection | $399.99 | No | 11 physical merchandise items only, shipped separately from any game purchase |
See the full GTA 6 editions comparison for what the Ultimate Edition Upgrade actually unlocks, and where to pre-order the game for platform links and release-day details. Neither of those pages is this Collector’s Box, and this box is not a substitute for either of them.
Where can you buy it, and where does it ship?
Only through the Rockstar Store, at store.rockstargames.com. Ordering requires logging into a Rockstar Store account, and Rockstar caps the order at one Collector’s Box per person. Rockstar’s own Store FAQ lists 23 countries and territories it ships to: Austria, Belgium, Canada, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, the UK and the US, with duties and taxes possible outside the US and UK. Rockstar’s Newswire post adds that pre-order details for Asia, Latin America and Australia are still to come.
SubscribeForTacos says later in his video that the box is "currently only available in the UK, US, and Dutchland, which is obviously Germany." That is narrower than what Rockstar’s own FAQ lists, so this article follows the official 23-country list rather than his three-country claim. The box ships "from November 19, 2026," per Rockstar’s FAQ, with a shipping confirmation email and a unique tracking number issued per order; cancelling a pre-order is handled through Rockstar’s fulfillment partner, Xsolla.
Is the GTA 6 collector’s edition worth $399.99?
That is SubscribeForTacos’s opinion, not a figure Rockstar publishes. He estimates the Oakley Frogskins sunglasses alone would cost $150 to $200 at retail without the Vice City branding, and argues that is "where the majority of this money is coming from," since he does not think the rest of the box, the figure, the bag, the mirror, the glass, the spoon, the keychain, the pin set and the stickers, adds up to the remaining $200 to $250 of the price. He guesses the figure alone costs Rockstar roughly $5 to manufacture and the shot glass a dollar or two, while allowing that collector pricing reflects exclusivity as much as manufacturing cost. He also flags that Rockstar’s own FAQ calls the item "currently only available in limited quantities" while inviting shoppers to wishlist it for restock alerts, which he reads as leaving room for Rockstar to reissue a box marketed as limited.
Despite his doubts about the value, SubscribeForTacos says he bought one anyway and plans to film an unboxing once it ships. He also argues the box should have shipped earlier than November 19, since nothing in it spoils the story, and separately wishes it leaned more on the game’s own GTA VI branding than Macca the Gator artwork, both personal preferences rather than facts about the product.
What does the souvenir poster show?
The front is character art: a grid of panels with Macca the Gator, a flamingo, a seaplane, a lowrider and a sunbathing sun icon under the "Vice City Leonida" logo. The back is a map of Leonida, matching the Store listing’s description, "Double-Sided Souvenir Poster with Map of Leonida."
A zoomed frame of the map side legibly shows two groups of islands labeled "SANDBARS" and "CRUDE ISLANDS." A third label is cut off at the edge of the frame and not fully legible; SubscribeForTacos reads it as "Blepp" and reads a separate partial label as "Draper Island," but neither reading can be confirmed from the frame available here, so this article states only the two labels that are actually legible.
SubscribeForTacos also points to a woman apparently being grabbed by what he says looks like a kraken on the poster, and wonders aloud whether it teases a kraken encounter while swimming or boating in GTA 6, while allowing it could simply be imagery from the in-fiction Macca the Gator show. Nothing in Rockstar’s own product copy mentions a kraken, so this stays his speculation. For the real, current picture of Leonida’s regions rather than a poster’s stylized art, see the site’s GTA 6 locations guide and the interactive map; our own location-by-location breakdown covers what is actually confirmed about the state.
What is not confirmed yet
Rockstar has not published a GBP price for the Collector’s Box, nor pre-order details for Asia, Latin America or Australia. The two cut-off poster labels SubscribeForTacos reads as "Draper Island" and "Blepp" are his own guesses at partially visible text, not confirmed names. His story that Rockstar briefly showed a labeled version of the poster before swapping in an unlabeled one is his own recollection, with no side-by-side evidence shown in the video. His claim that the box is only available in the UK, US and Germany is contradicted by Rockstar’s own 23-country shipping list. And whether this real-world Collector’s Box shares any branding with the in-game "Goodtime Gear" apparel unlocked by the Ultimate Edition, beyond both referencing Macca the Gator, is not stated by Rockstar anywhere checked for this article.
None of this changes what happens when GTA 6 itself launches on November 19, 2026.
